I am a visual development artist for animation as well as a painter. I have a great love for animation and cartoons. Growing up, watching cartoons was one of my favorite way to spend my free time\u2014and still is!<br><br>I have a BFA from East Carolina University College of Art and Design. Over the last couple of years, I&#8217;ve been transitioning from fine artist to an artist for animation. I&#8217;m currently in a mentorship with Nash Dunnigan to further hone my skills, beef up my portfolio and gain insight into the animation industry. <br><br>This year I have also decided to take the plunge in opening my own online store for selling my plein air paintings and other traditional works. I am also the owner of <em>Julie Grimes&#8217;s Daily Painting Blog<\/em>.
